Spiritual Wellness and Contemplative Healing

Our trained and certified staff and guides are ready to meet with you for spiritual direction, coaching and/or contemplative healing (what we call Rooted Prayer).

What are spiritual direction and contemplative healing, you ask? And why would you want them? Spiritual direction and contemplative healing can be practiced together or separately as you choose. Together, they contribute to your sustained spiritual wellness and the health of your soul.

SPIRITUAL wellness sessions

A spiritual director or coach is a trained listener who will accompany you as you share about your spiritual journey, helping you to notice God’s presence and activity along the way, as well as your personal reactions and responses. Together, we share safe, confidential space as I listen and offer questions and spiritual practices to help you discern God’s movement in your life and live more deeply connected with the love of God. Generally, directees meet monthly-ish for one-hour sessions with a director.

CONTEMPLATIVE HEALING/rooted prayer sessions

Contemplative healing is a practice that opens safe space for you to connect with God for inner healing and restoration of the soul. Together, we journey into the high, wide, long and deep love of God that heals and restores. Opening noise-free, formula-free, shame-free space, we listen and watch together for how God wants to meet you with healing in your pain, shame or trauma. We’d meet for a series of sessions as needed focusing specifically on healing, or we can infuse contemplative healing as part of your practice of spiritual direction.

To make an appointment, click on the button to the right. Appointments are available at these times (all EST):

Wednesdays, 10:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm
Thursdays, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm

If these times do not work for you, we do have limited daytime flexibility. Please let us know your availability, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

We do not offer professional counseling or psychotherapy, and we do not practice or condone conversion therapy. You must be at least 18 years of age to request a session.

Our Fee

We suggest a gift of $60 for Rooted Prayer sessions and $80 for spiritual wellness/spiritual direction/coaching . Your gift can be made online here, or by check. Please complete your intake form and schedule your session before paying. (Note, your gift is not tax-deductible.) Please send checks to 4301 Smith Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45212.

We never want the cost of a session to be prohibitive. Others have given to help underwrite scholarships. If you need financial assistance, please let us know when you schedule your session. Full and partial scholarships are available.

The value of your session is $120. Your gifts help cover the cost of prayer room ministry, including our prayer room hours with clients, scholarships, scheduling and client communications, rent, office supplies, website support, accounting, and more.

Cancellation Policy

We ask that you give 24 hours notice when cancelling an appointment so we can alert staff and volunteers. Fees paid in advance of appointments are refundable with 24 hour notice of cancellation.
